Sadly, Issue 128 will be the last issue of the journal. Our application to Creative NZ for funding assistance has been declined and the board of the Peppercorn Press Trust and the editors of the journal have, with considerable regret, come to the conclusion that we cannot continue to publish.

We are very proud of what New Zealand Review of Books Pukapuka Aotearoa has achieved within and for the New Zealand literary landscape since the first issue in 1991. The archive will remain available online.

The financial situation of Peppercorn Press is uncertain as we still face costs for the printing and distribution this issue. We have established a GiveaLittle page to fundraise for our final expenses including the ongoing maintenance of the archive.

If you are already a subscriber, the subscription you have paid covers issues beyond this one but you are willing to call it a donation and forgo reimbursement, we would be immensely grateful. But please, if you’re not in a position to be so generous and you wish to claim a refund for outstanding issues, just send your name, address and bank details to mail@nzbooks.org.nz with the subject ‘Refund’ and we will arrange payment as soon as we are able.

Please note: Your online access login is different from your your subscription renewal login. If you’ve lost your login for this site, or need help with it, please email webadmin@nzbooks.org.nz
